German I & II
COURSE DESCRIPTION
German I and II explore the German language and culture of the people. This course emphasizes the natural, communicative approach to a foreign language. In addition to speaking, reading, writing, the student will be presented with an abbreviated, formal approach to grammar. Geography, history, culture and customs will be introduced throughout the year.
It is recommended that any student who wishes to enroll in German I should be aware that strong English skills are essential to the mastery of a foreign language. This includes strengths in reading, comprehension, writing, and spelling. It is also important to realize that a great amount of time needs to be put in every day when studying a foreign language.
